Pressed Flower “Window” Soaps (Recipe)

Base idea: clear, glass-like bars with suspended petals.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g clear glycerin melt-and-pour base
  • 1–2 Tbsp edible-grade, soap-safe dried petals
    • (e.g., rose, cornflower, calendula)
  • 5–8 g light floral or citrus fragrance oil (lavender, neroli, or a blend)
  • Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle

Steps:

  1. Arrange your dried petals face-down in the bottom of each mold cavity.
  2. Spritz the petals lightly with alcohol to help them adhere.
  3. Melt the clear base and add your fragrance.
  4. Let it cool slightly so it’s not so hot that it bleaches the petals.
  5. Pour very slowly down the side of the mold to avoid disturbing the flowers too much.
  6. Spritz the surface with alcohol to remove bubbles.
  7. Let set fully; unmold gently.
