Pressed Flower “Window” Soaps (Recipe)
Base
idea: clear,
glass-like bars with suspended petals.
Ingredients:
- 500 g clear glycerin melt-and-pour
base
- 1–2 Tbsp edible-grade,
soap-safe dried petals
- (e.g., rose, cornflower,
calendula)
- 5–8 g light floral or
citrus fragrance oil (lavender, neroli, or a blend)
- Rubbing alcohol in a spray
bottle
Steps:
- Arrange your dried petals face-down in
the bottom of each mold cavity.
- Spritz the petals lightly with
alcohol to help them adhere.
- Melt the clear base and add
your fragrance.
- Let it cool slightly so it’s
not so hot that it bleaches the petals.
- Pour very slowly down the side
of the mold to avoid disturbing the flowers too much.
- Spritz the surface with alcohol to remove bubbles.
- Let set fully; unmold gently.
